Meet Us

In an era where so much business is transacted online between nameless and faceless buyers and sellers, we thought that it might be a breath of fresh air if you could actually "meet" the people behind Just4Dealers and get an idea of what we see when we look in the mirror every morning!

With a father who has been a “lifer“ in the used truck business, I suppose I was destined to have “diesel“ in my blood. My first experience at a truck dealership was at age 5 when my father took me to work instead of kindergarten one day. Most kids don’t know what they want to be “when they grow up“ but in kindergarten, I was already hooked.

At the early age of 11, I began working with my father at a Kenworth dealership. Over the next several years, I continued my hands-on education at the dealership, eventually completing management courses and Kenworth training programs as well as others. I also had experience at a few other dealerships and a finance company appraising used trucks. I was on course to eventually run a used truck dealership.

They say “necessity is the mother of invention“. Thus, my life took an unexpected turn in 1995 when my partners and I developed a software program that we knew would increase efficiency at the dealership and take advantage of new technology, like scanners and the Internet. The software program “SOARR“ was born under the umbrella of Interstate Online Software Inc. This innovative product quickly grew in popularity and eventually went nationwide in playing a pivotal role in managing inventories and websites for hundreds of truck and trailer dealerships. It has become the industry standard inventory management program which many have tried to copy, but none have successfully duplicated.

I am now one of the two remaining shareholders of Interstate Online Software Inc and currently serve in the capacity as President. This has provided me with opportunities to partner with many industry leaders and branch out into new ways of helping dealers, which has always been our goal. My latest venture has been into the online auction business and I have now also become an owner and CEO of Just4Dealers.com.

I guess that when you’re the guy who quits his “real” job and puts everything on the line to start their own company, you end up with the title of President.

After buying some Presidential clothes, and getting a name plaque for my desk, I settled into the role of focusing on bringing the efficiencies of the Internet to a market that is finding it increasingly more difficult and expensive to sell their inventory in a land-based auction environment. That’s “Presidential talk” for getting my dream out of my head and onto the Internet. Happily, it worked!

Like Andy, trucks have been part of my life since 1996 when I managed a $3 million, 60 power unit fleet for Rollins Truck Rental. My experience continued to grow after taking the Rental Manager’s position at Cornhusker Idealease LLC in Omaha, NE. in 1997, where I was promoted to General Manager overseeing a 100 power unit fleet valued at over $7 million in 1998.

But it was my final position as General Manger for Freightliner Corp. and Daimler Chrysler Services’ privately-run online auction that led me to start Just4Dealers.

Today Just4Dealers IS my “real job” and I’m ready to leverage all of my experience to make buying and selling excess inventory as easy and profitable for you as it can possibly be. Click here and let me prove it.

Way back in 1968 I started working for International Harvester Company in Chicago, IL. There are a lot of us in the trucking industry that got our start with International.

After a tour in the U.S. Army, I returned to IH in 1970 and remained on their team until an independent truck parts company made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. My IH roots ran deep, however, and I eventually returned to the family where I held positions as a parts counter man in the Chicago & St. Paul offices, and a lease manager in Omaha, before I moved to into the sales department. Yep, trucks and International Harvester were in my blood.

Despite all of that, I decided to expand my knowledge by doing a stint with a fiberglass company that manufactured parts for, you guessed it, trucks. When the owners sold the company and it moved out of state, I beat feet back to International where I remained until 2004 when the online auction bug bit me hard.

Today I am the Operations Manager here at Just4Dealers, leading the inspection team and handling disputes as they arise, but I also donate my management expertise and coffee-making skills here in the office. Let me know how I can help you.

Ever since I was a young boy I have been fascinated with auctions. I can remember going to auctions with my mother and father and being mesmerized by the call of the auctioneer. I soon began going to any auction I could. Before I got my driver's license I would even ride my bicycle if I could not find anyone to take me.

At the age of 15 I attended a three week course at the Repperts School of Auctioneering in Decatur, Indiana. Within days of graduating from auction school I secured a job with one of my home town auction companies and was up on the auction block calling bids just like the auctioneers I had come to admire.

While still in high school, I opened my own auction service. One year after graduating from school I was offered a position with a heavy duty truck and auto auction company located outside of Atlanta Georgia. So I packed up what little I had and moved 600 miles south to start what has turned out to be a life-long career.

I quickly realized that the heavy duty truck auction business is where I belonged and for the past 21 years that is exactly what I have been doing. I have conducted land-based heavy duty truck, trailer, and equipment auctions all over the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

While working for the land-based auctions I held the positions of Transportation Manager, shipping vehicles all over the country; Reconditioning Manager, overseeing the cosmetic reconditioning and mechanical repair of heavy trucks, trailers and equipment; Operations Manager, overseeing all lot and sale day operations, vehicle check-in and inspections. The last 10 years of working at the land-based auctions I was the Heavy Duty Truck Division and Sales Manager overseeing all aspects of the truck auction.

The "land based-type auctions" for heavy duty trucks, trailers, and equipment for years was the only type of auction method offered. However, with the introduction of the internet to the public in the 1980's it was only a matter of time before internet auctions "out sold" land-based auctions. Being with traditional auctions for many years, I scoffed at the notion that the internet could provide a viable method for auctioning trucks, trailers, and equipment. I was wrong!

When internet truck, trailer, and equipment auctions began to take place in the late 1990's I watched with a curious eye. As with any new way of doing business they had a very rocky start but by the early 2000's internet truck, trailer, and equipment auctions had a firm foot hold and were off and running!

When Just4Dealers.com approached me in 2007 and asked me if I would come work for them and apply all the years of land based auction knowledge I had to their internet auctions I knew the time was right and accepted the offer immediately.

I thoroughly enjoyed providing the highest level of service and integrity to the truck, trailer, and equipment industry while working with the land-based auctions.

My promise to the customers of Just4Dealers.com is that I will offer the same level of service and integrity as I have in the past, ever striving to bring you the latest in on-line auction technology and the best market in which to buy and sell.

I have been a successful business owner for 12 years with a background in management, marketing and sales. I earned my way from entry level in sales to Regional Vice President within one year with an Independent Company, giving me much experience in leadership, training, team building as well as sales and customer relationships.

Upon meeting with those responsible with Just4Dealers, I made the decision to transition my experience and skill to this industry and join a company which is growing and offered great potential.

My desire to help others maximize the most benefit for their business potential and growth continues with Just4Dealers. You can rely on me to assist you in any and all facets of the Just4dealers online auction. Forming a relationship, together we will help you to simplify the movement and sale of your trucks.

My mother used to drag me to auctions when I was a little girl, and like any kid, I thought they were boring! Well my perception has certainly changed. There's never a dull moment here at Just4Dealers.

In addition to parenting two small boys and attending the University of Nebraska-Omaha as a full-time business student studying Business Management, I juggle the entire auction process and do my best to keep Mike & Andy in line. As the auction administrator in Omaha, I intend to keep our inventory moving. My promise is to provide top quality customer service and to be here as the voice of Just4Dealers. It would be my pleasure to answer any questions, just give me a call at (402) 697-8777 or send me an e-mail.
